CITY OF COLTON <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />APRIL 19, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting held on the above -given date at 6:06 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Bennett presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Bennett led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Pastor Bob Johnson led the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Members Present: <br />Mayor Deirdre H. Barrera, City Clerk <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF <br />APRIL 19, 2005. <br />Mayor Bennett asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict <br />of interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />Presentation Judith Clarke, RDA Project Manager 11, who introduced the City of Colton <br />business spotlight recipient Hydro Conduit, 1205 Rancho Ave., Mayor <br />Bennett presented a certificate of appreciation to Don Newman, Machine <br />Shop Superintendent, for their contributions for enhancing the economy <br />of the City of Colton. <br />> Presentation Ken Johnson, Teacher in the Colton District, representative of the local <br />Colton School District teacher's association and spoke to "Protect <br />Proposition 98 (funds) and Protect Children" and the Governor's possible <br />initiative for a special election in November 2005 which would affect funds <br />2005 APRIL 19 REG CC/RDA/CUA MEETING -2- <br />
