Discussion continued with CM Hernandez acknowledging Council and staff on their dedication <br />to this item and its revisions. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Ms. Williams expressed her concerns regarding the original petition for street name change that <br />she had submitted at a previous meeting. She felt that the requirements had been adequately <br />met and wanted to know the decision on their application for street name change. City Manager <br />Parrish explained that her question pertained to the following item and would be addressed at <br />that time. <br />Vote: Motion carried with CM De La Rosa/Ramos/Chastain absent <br />Street Narne Change <br />Approve and Adopt a Resolution to Authorize the Street Name Change of Larch Avenue to <br />Miracle Lane, RESOLUTION NO, R-35-05. (Item #15, 415105 agenda) Amended agenda report <br />was handed to council with correction to recommendation requesting denial for street name <br />change of Larch Avenue to Miracle Lane. <br />City Manager Parrish presented for Council consideration and approval of staff's <br />recommendation that Council deny street name change of Larch Avenue to Miracle Lane without <br />prejudice, and explained the change in the policy as it related to Ms. Williams. <br />Motion/second by CM Hernandez/Suchil to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-35-05 to deny <br />street name change without prejudice. <br />Discussion continued with CM Mitchell/Hernandez explaining that this was a tough issue, <br />because a policy was now in place which required the citizen to re -apply with the new policy <br />conditions. <br />City Attorney Martinez further clarified that staffs recommendation was to'deny the request <br />without preju6ce, allowing the applicant to refile the application in compliance with the new <br />policy and voting "Yes" would mean you agree with the denial without prejudice. <br />Motion carried with CM Mitchell voting "NO" and CM De La Rosa/Ramos/Chastain absent. <br />ORDINANCES: <br />Cable Television Franchise Aareement <br />Waive Full Reading and Pass First Reading of an Ordinance to Approve the Cable Television <br />Franchise Agreement between the City of Colton and Adelphia Cable and Authorize the City <br />Manager to Execute the Agreement on behalf of the City, and Waiving certain Procedural <br />requirements as allowed by the Municipal Code, ORDINANCE NO. 0-06-05.
