of appreciation to Jerry Ferrera and Dale Carlson, Founder, and Jim <br />Bernacky, General Manager, for their contribution for enhancing the <br />economy of the City of Colton. <br />➢ Presentation Jolene Pandza, President for Executive Board of Colton Chamber of <br />Commerce presented $1,000 check to Parks and Recreation Department <br />from the 15` Annual Golf Tournament. <br />Presentation Richard Gonzales, Representative for Union Pacific Railroad and Rita <br />Jones, Engineering Department Representative presented checks to the <br />individual organizations: San Bernardino County Museum, Arts Council <br />for San Bernardino County, Riverside Arts Council, Casa de San <br />Bernardino, and Santa Claus Inc. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Redemption Fee <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider establishing a redemption fee for the recovery of <br />costs for retrieval and storage of abandoned shopping carts and laundry carts <br />The Mayor declares the Public Hearing "Open". <br />City Clerk Barrera announced that the Notice of Public Hearing is on file in the City Clerk's office <br />and no protests or objections have been received. <br />Mayor Bennett announced that staff requested continuance of this item to the next regular <br />meeting June 21, 2005 with no objection by the council. <br />$5 Million Loan <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider the question of whether the city should approve <br />the issuance by the Colton Public Financing Authority of its 2005 taxable lease revenue note in <br />the principal amount of not to exceed $5,000,000 pursuant to the provisions of the Article 4 <br />(commencing with Section 6584) of Chapter 5 of Division 7 of Title 1 of the Government Code of <br />the State of California. The proceeds of the bonds, if any are issued, will be allocated for the <br />purpose of improving certain property of the city for use in connection with a recreational facility. <br />The Mayor declares the Public Hearing "Open". <br />City Clerk Barrera announced that the Notice of Public Hearing is on file in the City Clerk's office <br />and no protests or objections have been received. <br />Mayor Bennett announced that staff requested continuance of this item to the next regular <br />meeting June 21, 2005. <br />Motion/second by CM Ramos/Hernandez to continue the public hearing to the next regular <br />council meeting.
