Motion/second by CM Hernandez/Mitchell to close public hearing. Unanimous vote. Discussion by Council continued questions regarding occupants of the facility, its compatibility, and the floor plan. Ms. Blankenzee explained the rendering is the corner area and extends to the sides, it is three buildings on the site and the two others for the L shape, she explained how it shows the glass in the front so they can see the storage, a landscape plan, a conference center, copy center, post office area, and computer work stations. City Attorney Derleth advised members that since there was no revised staff report to show what has been presented, such as the changes discussed, he recommended that this item be referred back to staff or planning commission. With the consensus of the Mayor and Council the recommendation was to return the item to staff and update the ordinance to include the suggestions made, along with working with the 2006 FEBRUARY 21 REG CC/RDA/CUA MEETING -3-
