• Presentation Victor Le Bleu, Senior Dean of DeVry University, Colton Center gave a <br />brief overview and asked for community support of the new center. <br />• Oral Report Eric Fraser, Director of Water/Waste Water, provided an oral report <br />regarding the current discolored water issue <br />CM De La Rosa arrived during presentations and took his place at the dais. <br />At 7:05 p.m., Mayor Bennett declared a recess at 7:15 p.m., the meeting was reconvened with <br />all Members present there from. <br />Presentation Laura Morales of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation gave a brief <br />overview of juvenile diabetes and the resources available inviting the <br />Council and the community to the Annual Walk, September 30, 2006 at <br />Guasti Regional Park ast 8:30 a.m. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the City Council: Brenda Hoskins, Connie Krueger, Fred <br />Cordova, and Jess Vasquez. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Stormwater Fees <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider adoption of a Resolution approving the basic fee <br />for Stormwater Services and the Stormwater Management User Fee for fiscal year 2006-2007 <br />as provided for in Chapter 14.01 of the Colton Municipal Code. <br />Mayor Bennett declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Barrera said the Affidavit of Publication calling the Public Hearing was on file in the <br />City Clerk's Office and stated that no protests or objections were received. <br />City Engineer Jakher provided an overview of the agenda report and requested approval of <br />staff's recommendation. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Fred Cordova, presented questions regarding the stormwater fees as they had originally been <br />presented before the Utilities Commission for review and recommendation. He wanted an <br />explanation as to where the fees would go. Mayor Bennett responded as outlined in the report <br />along with consensus by City Engineer Jakher. <br />Motion/second by CM Hernandez/Suchil to close public hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Motion/second by CM De La Rosa/Suchil to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-82-06. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Ameal — Hu-qo Neu-Proler <br />2006 JULY 18 REG CC/RDA/CUA MEETING -3- <br />
