City Manager Parrish responded that he had met with legal counsel and Mr. Honcharik to discuss alternatives and found that due to the specific plan this was not possible and input was needed by the City of Riverside, therefore he did not want to go forward at this time. Mayor Chastain asked for input from legal counsel City Attorney Martinez explained that what City Manager and Applicant are looking for is a continuance until the Applicant gets a response from Riverside as there are people who agree with the moratorium. Mr. Honcharik was directed to speak with the parties involved before going_forward with_ the appeal and the business occupancy_permit needs to be denied because it is in violation of the moratorium. Discussion continued with Council members suggesting working with the applicant and continuing the item to the next regular meeting. Motion/second by CM Mitchell/Suchil to continued appeal to March 6, 2007. Motion carried.
