CITY OF COLTON CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES MAY 29, 2007 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held at 4:35 p.m., on the above - given date at in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 650 North La Cadena Drive, Colton, California, Mayor Bennett Chastain. . ROLL CALL Councilmembers present were, Suchil, Mitchell, Oliva, Toro, and Mayor Chastain. CM De La Rosa arrived at 4:40 p.m. Also present were City Manager Parrish, City Attorney Martinez and Chief Deputy City Clerk Flores. PUBLIC COMMENT: None MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF MAY 29, 2007. Mayor Chastain asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. Said Special Meeting shall be for the purpose of studying the following matter(s): STAFF REPORTS: Contract -Best Drilling and Pump. Inc. Award a Contract for the Construction of Wells 30 and 31 to Best Drilling and Pump, Inc. in an Amount Not -to -Exceed $932,334.00. Motion/second by CM Mitchell/Oliva. Motion carried. First Budget Workshop for Fiscal year 2007/2008 Budget Workshop: To discuss the Proposed Expenditure Plans for Fiscal Year 2007/2008 for the following General Fund Departments: City Manager Parrish opened the workshop and presented a brief overview and vision of this workshop. City Manager Parrish explained that each department would present and review goals and objectives, fiscal comparison and entertain questions from the board members. He further explained that the balance of the workshop would be scheduled for June 12, 2007 to include: City Clerk, Water/Waste Water, Electric, Public Works, Capital Improvement Projects, and a matrix to measure department goals. • General Government (City Council, City Treasurer, City Manager, City Attorney) 2007 MAY 29 SPEC MTG -1 -
