City Manager Parrish provided a budget summary of the City Council and City Manager <br />departments. Discussion ensued regarding increased travel, part time and proposed <br />personnel position. <br />• Finance <br />Finance Director DeAlwis provided an overview on the department budget, proposed Cal <br />Card project, and City Treasurer budget, followed by brief questions from the Council <br />• Police <br />Police Chief Miller provided fiscal information on the divisions of the Police Department <br />administration, patrol, public services and highlighted on proposed community projects in <br />conjunction with the Community Services Department. Police Chief Miller and Lt. <br />Burrows responded to questions from the Council regarding vacant positions, the bicycle <br />patrol, impound yard and facility improvements. <br />RE E S: <br />At 6:24 p.m., a recess was declared and at 6:39 p.m. the meeting reconvened with all members <br />present as here to fore. <br />Mayor Chastain explained a change in the order of department presentation. <br />• Community Services <br />Community Services Director Bill Smith provided a brief summary on department <br />budget. <br />• Community Development <br />Community Development Director Zamora provided a brief overview on department <br />budget. <br />• Fire <br />Fire Chief Hendrix presented information and responded to questions regarding facility <br />improvements, training, vacant positions, and overtime. <br />ADJOURNMENT. <br />At 7:51 p.m., with consensus of Council, Mayor Chastain declared the Special Meeting <br />adjourned. <br />t19 -A --W 40- � - 2 ff. -- <br />Carolina R.
