<br />linvestigation and report of the entire matter and proceedings,, and
<br />WHOREAS,, on the lst day of February,, 1955, a Resolution was adopted by the
<br />aforesaid City Council of the City of Colton.. California,, proposing the annexa-
<br />tion of the aforesaid uninhabited territory to be generally known as the "West
<br />IlColton Annexation Humber Six" to the City of Colton,, and

<br />WASP said Resolution set forth therein that all of the property included
<br />in the aforesaid territory should be taxed equally if legally possible, with
<br />the other property within the said City to pay the banded indebtedness and any
<br />and all general indebtedness and liability of the City of Colton,, contracted
<br />prior to or existing or outstanding at the time of the aforesaid proposed annexa-
<br />tion of the aforesaid property as provided in the hereinbefore mentioned act,,
<br />and
<br />I WHEREAS., the said Resolution did fix,, determine and declare that a hearing
<br />Iwoulbe held on the 15th da of March 1 at :.
<br />d y , 955, the hour of 7.3.0 o'clock P.M.
<br />in the Council Chambers in the City Hail of the City of Colton,, (which is
<br />located on "I" Street,, between 8th and 9th Streets in said City), and same was
<br />the da
<br />y$ hour and place designated where any person owning real estate within l
<br />such territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objection to the proposedi
<br />annexation might object before the City Council and show cause why such terri-
<br />tory should not be annexed,, and furthermore,, the said Resolution provided that
<br />at any time not later than the hour set,, as mentioned hereinbefore for the said
<br />hearing,, any owner of property within the said territory proposed to be annexed
<br />might file written protest with the City of Colton against such annexation,, and
<br />WE EEWAS,, it was provided in said Resolution that said Resolution should be
<br />published in the Colton Courier,, newspaper of general circulation within the
<br />City of Colton,, and the San Bernardino Sun,, a newspaper of general circulation
<br />published outside the City within the County of San Bernardino,, and that said
<br />Resolution was thereafter so published in the Colton Courier,, as mentioned,, in
<br />o. manner and form and in all other respects,, as provided by ]aw,, and
<br />WHEREAS,, no objections or protest of any kind or nature whatsoever were made
<br />or filed,, either written or oral, with the said City of Colton and me protests
