annexation of the aforesaid North Colton No. 5 to the City of Colton, and 2 ' WTIEREASs,the said Resolution did fix, determine and declare that a hearing would be held on the 16th day of February, 1960 at the hour of 7:30 4 1 o'clock P.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Colton 51 (which is .located on "I" Street between 8th and 9th Streets in said City) and 6� 7� same was the day, hour and place de signat std where any per son owning rea 1 estate within such territory so proposed to be annexed and having any object - 8 ions to the proposed annexation might object before the City Council and show g cause why such territory should not be annexed and further more the Re solutio 10 provided that at any time not later than the hour set, as mentioned herein 11 before for said hearing any owner of property within said territory proposed t 12 !' be annexed might file written protests with the City of Colton against such 13 j annexation, and 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24' 25 26 27 j 28 29 30 31 32 WHEREAS, it was provided in sai d Resolution that said Re solution should be published in the Colton Courier, a newspaper of general circulation published within the City of Colton and the San Bernardino D ail y Sun, a news paper of general circulation published outside the City, with in the County of San Bernardino and that said Resolution was so published as mentioned in a manner and form and in all other respects, as provided by law, and WHEREAS,, no objections or protest of any kind or nature whatsoever were made at the regular meeting of the City Council held on the 16th day of February, 1960 at which said meeting the said City Counc it public ly announced that any person, firm or corporation desiring to protest or object to said annexation might do so at said meeting, and WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that the aforesaid annex atior proceedings have been completed and everything performed at this time in accordance with the provisions of the Uninhabited Act of 1939, Article 5, Chapter 1, Fart 2, Division 2, Title 4,, Government Code of the State of California, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton desires to approve � at this time the annexation of the aforesaid territory.
