i! <br />rf i <br />ii <br />8 <br />ii <br />I; <br />loll <br />�2 <br />13' <br />I <br />15! <br />161 <br />17� <br />18 <br />191 <br />20 <br />I <br />i <br />21� <br />2 <br />2! <br />N <br />2 3 I� <br />i <br />I <br />24 <br />i <br />i <br />25' <br />26 <br />27 <br />2� <br />29 <br />30 <br />32 <br />Section 4: The Humane Officer shall have the right to receive and <br />dispose of dogs delivered into his possession by the owners thereof and shall <br />charge the sum of Two ($2.00) Dollars or such other sum as the City Council <br />by resolution shall determine, for each dog which has not been duly licensed. <br />Section 5: That the Humane Officer shall have the right to receive <br />and dispose of any cat or catss., or kittens delivered into his possession by the <br />owners thereof and shall charge therefor the following sum, to wit: <br />Ten (10 �) cents for each kitten of 3 months or less; twenty-five 1(25 �) <br />cents for each cat,, or such other sum as the City Council by Resolution shall <br />determine,. <br />Section 6: If any dog picked up by the Humane Officer in accordance <br />with Section 4 of this Ordinance is claimed by any owner, the owner shall pay <br />to the City of Colton an apprehension fee of $2.00 and any other additional fee <br />levied by the City of Colton or the San Bernardino City -Pound. <br />Section 7; That the Humane Officer shall have the right to seize any <br />dog, cat or similar type animal within the City of Colton having or suspected <br />to have rabies or hydrophobia, or other diseases or sickness and in the event <br />I <br />the City Health Officer shall determine that such dog,, cat or similar type <br />animal is afflicted with rabies or hydrophobia or dangerous disease or sick «� <br />nes s., the said animal shall be killed forthwith or as soon thereafter as same is <br />determined by the Humane Officer, provided that if such animal shall be <br />1 merely suspected of having rabies or hydrophobia, or other disease or sick- <br />ness it may be confined by the Humane Officer for such time as the City Healtl <br />Officer shall direct, and if the said City Health Officer shall thereafter deter -- <br />mine that said dog does not have rabies,, or hydrophobia, or has a dangerous <br />disease or sickness, it shall be returned to the owner upon payment by the <br />owner of the actual cost to the City of Colton for the care of said dog while it <br />was kept in such confinement pursuant to the direction of the said City Health <br />Officer, <br />Section 8: No person,, firm or corporation shall at any time harbor, <br />own, voluntarily care for or have in custody any animal of any kind which is <br />vicious, dangerous or accustomed to bite, scratch, injure or annoy persons <br />
