That a Recreation and Parks Commission shall be and 1 City of Colton, California. the same is hereby created m and for the C y ! 4 SECTION 2. That said Commission shall consist of five members who i shall be appointed by the City Council from the citizens of the City of Colton M s at lar ge . SECTION 3. That of the members of the first commission to serve I i under this Ordinance, one shall serve a term of one year; two shall serve I i terms of two years each; and two shall serve terms of three years each. The members of the first Commission shall be determined by lot as terms of the e i drawn at the first meeting of the Commission on December 5, 1960 and be j effective as of that date. Their successors shall be appointed for a term of threeY ears each. If a vacancy shall occur otherwise than by expiration of the i term, it shall be filled by appointment as in the first incident for the unexpired portion of the term. i+ �i SECTION 4. The members of the Commission shall organize and 1 choose one of their members as its chairman and elect any other officers that I I�' they deem necessary.
