It shall be unlawful for any person to practice, engage in, carry on <br />the business of a massagist or conduct a massage parlor within the City of <br />Colton without having obtained a license so to do and complying with all regula- l <br />tions and requirements as hereinafter contained and set forth. <br />B. Every person making application, as hereinafter set out, for a <br />license to carry on any of the purposes of this part, shall, at the time of <br />making such application, file with the Chief of Police of the City of Colton. <br />(1) Written proof that the applicant is over the age of twenty-one (21) <br />years. <br />(2) Written proof that the applicant is a bona fide resident of the <br />County of San Bernardino. <br />(3) Wratten proof that the applicant has had at least one (1) year's <br />experience in the profession, work and method of treating the <br />external parts of the human body for remedial or hygienic <br />purposes by rubbing, stroking., kneading, adjusting or tapping <br />with the hand or by instrument, or applicant must furnish a <br />diploma or certificate of graduation from a recognized school <br />or other institution of learning wherein the method, profession <br />and work of massagist is taught. <br />(4) Written statement of at least three (3) bona fide residents of the <br />City of Colton that applicant is of good moral character. <br />(5) A Certificate from the County Health Officer stating that the <br />applicant has been examined and found to be free of any conta- <br />gious or communicable disease. <br />C. Every person desiring to carry on the business of a massagist or <br />conduct a massage parlor shall make a written application to the City Council <br />for a license to conduct said business. The application shall be signed and <br />sworn to by said applicant and shall state the true or fictitious name or names <br />of said applicant, his or her age, present street address or other address or <br />addresses where applicant may have lived at any time during the year im- <br />mediately preceding the date of said application, the name under which, and <br />place where said applicant proposes to conduct said business together with the <br />
