<br />SECTION 7o Foreign Substances Deleterious to Trees
<br />No person., firm or corporation shall cause,, authorize or pro-
<br />cure any brine, oil or liquid dye or other substances deleterious to tree life,,
<br />to, lie, leak, pour, flow or drip uponar into the soil aboutthebase of any
<br />street tree, shrub, or plant in any street, planting strip, parkway or alley
<br />in the City of Colton, or onto any sidewalk or any pavement within said City
<br />at a point from WI-Ach such substance may be lying upon or by flowing, dripp
<br />or seeping into such soil injure such tree,, shrub or plantiag, or to otherwise
<br />harm or kill any such tree, shrub or plant. No person, firm or corporation_.
<br />WithOUt approval of the Director, shall place or maintain, any stone, concrete
<br />or other substance so that it shall impede the free ac�ess of water or air to
<br />the coats of any tree, shrub or plant in any public street,, planting, parkway or
<br />alley in the City of Colton.
<br />,SECTION 8: Foreign -Objects. Attached to Trees
<br />No person,, ,firm or.cGrporaxion shall attach or keep attached to
<br />any tree, shrub or plant in any public street, planting strip, parkway or alley
<br />in the City of Colton, or to the guard. or stake intended. for the protection
<br />therear, any wire, rope, sign or any other device whatsoever.
<br />SECTION 9: Trees in New Developments or Subdivisions
<br />Before any street improvement in any new subdivision or new
<br />development of real property in the City of Colton, the developer shall pay to
<br />said City of Colton the total costs of all trees required to be planted along all
<br />streets in said subdivision or development. After receipt of said payment,
<br />the City will plant said trees at the proper time,
<br />SECTION 10: Repair, Erection or Removal of Billdings
<br />During the erection, repair or alteration or any building, house
<br />or structure in the City of Colton, no person, firm or corporation in charge of
<br />such work shall leave any tree, shrub or plant in any street, parkway or alley
<br />in said city,, in the vicinity of such building or struSture without such good
<br />sufficient guards or protectors as shall prevent injury to said tree, shrub or
<br />planting arising out of or by reasons of said erection, repair or alteration.
