10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 <br />30 <br />31 <br />32 <br />or portion thereof without notifying the Park and Recreation Director at least <br />three- days in advance of such moving,, Said, notice shall designate the route <br />to be followed and all other details -pertinent to such work*- The director shall <br />have thez-athority to change such. route and designate one which will in his <br />opinion cause Iess damage to trees, shrubs or plants owned by the City along <br />and adjacent to the said route, As a condition to improving any route for the <br />moving of any building, house or structure or portion thereofo the Director <br />may require the person,, firm or corporation doing such work to enter into an <br />agreement to pay all costs incurred for any labor, material or equipment used <br />to protect or preserve such trees, shrubs, or plants either before or after <br />such moving. <br />IcECTI ON 11- General Regulations for Care or Trees <br />The following regulations are hereby established for the plant- <br />ing and care of trees in or upon public streets, planting strips, parkways, <br />rights-ofr,-way and alleys in the City of Colton, <br />Along any given street the species oftree shall be uniform <br />and in accordance with the official street tree plan rec:Dmmended by the Park <br />and Recreation Commission and approved by the City Council by Resolution, <br />,fbl No tree, plant or shrub shall hereafter be planted at the <br />intersection of two or more streets or within thirty-five (35"feet of'such <br />intersection. <br />(cI-, No tree shall be planted between the curb and s!d,,dW'alk <br />wherein the clear space is less than thir ty - s ix P Or, inches* <br />Trees shall be planted in the qenter or the planting strip <br />midway between the curb and street side of the sidewalk. These trees shall <br />be at least five (5): feet from any water meter or sewer line and shall be no, <br />less than 10 feet from a driveway opening. Trees shall be trimmed to clear <br />the sidewalk by at least ten (10) feet, such trimming shall be done by and at <br />the discretion of the Park and Recreation Director0j, <br />(e).
