Title. <br />�I <br />$! This ordinance shall be known as the Uniform <br />g <br />Transient Occupancy Tax Ordinance of the City of Colton. <br />10 <br />SECTION TWO. Definitions. <br />11 <br />Except where the context otherwise requires, tAe <br />12 <br />13 definitions given in this section govern the construction of <br />3.4 this ordinance: <br />15 (a) Person. 1°Person" means any individual, firm, <br />I <br />1.6 it partnership, joint venture, association, social club, fraternal <br />I <br />17 <br />organization, joint stock company, corporation, estate, trust) <br />181 <br />business trust, receiver, trustee, syndicate or any other group <br />lg II <br />N4' <br />;�� or combination acting as a unit. <br />I,I <br />e !� (b) Hotel. "Hotel" means any structure or any <br />21 !f <br />i <br />22;1 portion of any structure, which is occupied or intended or de- <br />il <br />23 signed for occupancy by transients for dwelling, lodging or <br />24 I sleeping pur-o4, <br />:. es and includes any hotel, inn, tourist home or <br />23 , <br />house, motel, studio hotel, bachelor hotel, lodging house, room- <br />26 <br />ing house, apartment house, dormitory, public or private club, <br />27 � <br />j mobilehome or house trailer at a fixed location, or other similar <br />28 <br />291 structure or portion thereof. <br />30 <br />(c) Occupancy. "Occupancy" means the use or <br />31possession, or the right to the use or possession of any room <br />i <br />32 Ii or rooms or portion thereof, in any hotel for dwelling, lodging <br />
