Any person, <br />firm or corporation violating or permitting or causing the violation of <br />any of the provisions of this Ordinance or of the Code adopted herein <br />shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be <br />punishable by a fine of not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or <br />by imprisonment for a period of not more than six months, or by both <br />such fine and imprisonment. Each person, firm or corporation shall <br />be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each day during any portion <br />of which any violation of any provision of this Ordinance or said Code <br />is committed, continued or permitted by such person, firm or corporation <br />and shall be punishable therefor as provided by this Ordinance. <br />SECTION NINE: If any section, sub -section, sentence, clause <br />or phrase of this Ordinance or said Code is for any reason held to be <br />invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent <br />jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining <br />portions of said Ordinance or Code the City Council of the City of Colton <br />hereby declares that it would have passed said Ordinance and Code and each <br />section, sub -section, sentence, clause and phrase thereof irrespective <br />of the fact that any one or more sections, sub -sections, sentences, clauses <br />or phrases be declared invalid or unconstitutional. <br />SECTION TEN: All Ordinances in conflict herewith, particularly <br />
