Those which are a part of the stock in trade of a merchant <br />and are being displayed and offered for sale in an established <br />place of business in the ordinary course of business, but are <br />not connected with a source of electric energy or used as <br />demonstrators or to induce or encourage the purchase of other <br />merchandise. <br />2. An electrically operated mechanical device,apparatus, or <br />machine which is intended or designed for use by any person <br />for purposes of amusement, entertainment or play shall not <br />be provided or made available or accessible for such use in <br />any place of business or place or premises to which the public <br />is admitted without obtaining a permit and certificate of <br />approval from the Electrical Inspector and complying with the <br />installation and maintenance requirements of this Code. <br />Section 260. Installation Requirements. <br />(A) Each device, apparatus or machine shall be permanently <br />and effectively grounded. <br />(B) An approved multi -prong plug and receptacle shall be <br />used, one prong for the purpose of grounding. <br />(C) Only approved hard service 3 -wire "S".type cords may be <br />used. Each cord must be continuous without splices or adaptors, <br />and shall not exceed ten (10) feet in length. <br />SECTION SIX: The following sections are deleted from said <br />Uniform Wiring Code 70.4,150.12 and 150.14. <br />The following section is added: Section 170.23. All wiring to <br />detached garages or accessory buildings shall be underground <br />in rigid raceway or other approved method. Exception: <br />Overhead wiring may be used when the horizontal run exceeds <br />
