1, processing, packing or canning of fruits, vegetables, meat, or beverages; <br />,z laundering of clothes in public laundries, public self-service laundries, or <br />3 hospitals; production of fertilizer, keeping of livestock or poultry and <br />4 operation of dairies; production or dying of textiles; production of soap or <br />5 other detergents or chemicals; production and processing of plastics; cleaning <br />6 of tanks, tank cars or barrels; plating or other processing of metals;rocessi <br />P n <br />7 or reclamation of refuse; all kinds of similar manufacturing, processing and <br />8� servicing operations. "Operation" includes the washing of equipment or spaces <br />9I used in industrial operations. Industrial waste water does not include the <br />10 following: waste waters from the operations of restaurants, hotels, schools, <br />11 single or multiple residences, places of retail business; vehicle service <br />12 facilities, wash racks and garages (See Article III); regeneration of water <br />13 softening aparatus (see Article IV). <br />14 "Floatable oil and grease" shall mean the oil and grease floating to <br />15 the surface of a sample of water when it is retained for one hour in a <br />16 quiescent condition in a vessel with vertical walls, filled to the depth <br />17I of 30 centimeters. <br />18 "Floatable hydrocarbon oil" shall mean the amount of hydrocarbon <br />19 oil floating to the surface of a sample of the water under the same conditions <br />20 as prescribed in the definition of "floatable oil and grease". <br />21 <br />�I "Water supply" shall mean the City's monthly average water supply <br />22 serving the area tributary to the City's main sewage treatment plant. "Water <br />23 supply" shall also mean the average monthly supply actually served to a <br />24I <br />specific establishment or location as deter <br />I hmined by testing and compositing <br />251 <br />samples and analysis approved by the Director of Public Works. <br />26' <br />ARTICLE II - General Restrictions <br />27 I Section 3. Except as hereinafter provided, it shall be unlawful for <br />i <br />28any person to discharge or to cause to be discharged into any public sewer or <br />29 any opening leading to a public sewer of the City of Colton any of the following: <br />30 (a) Any earth, sand, rocks ashes <br />gravel, plaster, concrete, glass, <br />31 <br />metal filings, or metal orlastic <br />Pobjects,garbage, <br />or solid <br />or <br />semi-solid <br />32 <br />material in quantities or <br />volume which will <br />obstruct <br />the flow <br />of <br />sewage in <br />
