ORDINANCE NO. 1374 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION III AND <br />SECTION X OF ORDINANCE NO. 548. <br />The City t Council of the City of Colton does ordain as follows: <br />SECTION <br />I. That Section III of Ordinance No. 548, An Ordinance <br />entitled An Ordinance Prohibiting the Drinking or Consumption of <br />Alcoholic Beverages, and Drunkenness in Public Places" be amended to <br />Beverages, <br />read as follows: <br />SECTION III <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to transport or carry into, <br />n his possession, <br />have iconsume or knowingly be in the presence of <br />any <br />article or object containing alcor=•clic beverage in or on any <br />public park in the City of Colton. <br />SECTION <br />II. That Section X of Ordinance No. 548 be amended <br />to read as follows: <br />SECTION X <br />Any person violating or failing to comply with the provisions <br />of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon <br />ereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding five <br />conviction th , <br />hundred ($500.00) dollars or by imprisonment for a period not ex- <br />ceeding three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br />SECTION III. This ordinance, which is for the immediate <br />preservation <br />of the public peace, health and safety, shall take <br />effect immediately ediatel upon its adoption and publication.
