424 <br />SECTION THIRTEEN: PERMISSIBLE LOCATIONS FOR DISCHARGE. <br />The use of fireworks in said City shall be limited to private <br />property except as otherwise provided herein. No fireworks shall be dis- <br />charged on public, semi-public or private open areas such as parking lots, <br />vacant properties, or in a public street or right of way, except in public <br />parks and those areas approved by the Chief of the Fire Department. <br />No fireworks shall be discharged in the "high fire hazard area", <br />more particularly described as follows: <br />West of Grand Avenue - North of Interstate 10; <br />West of Rancho - South of Interstate 10; <br />South of Agua Mansa Road - West of La Cadena; <br />East of Mt. Vernon - South of Interstate 10; <br />Including Laloma Hills and Reche Canyon and the area <br />near the Colton Air Park. <br />SECTION FOURTEEN: STATE LAW. <br />The provisions of this ordinance are in addition to applicable <br />State Law including the California Administrative Code Title 19, Article 5, <br />Section 993, which requires a License from the State Fire Marshal and payment <br />of a State license fee of $10.00. Each package of fireworks shall be marked <br />as safe and sane fireworks and shall bear the State Fire Marshal's classi- ow <br />fication label. <br />SECTION FIFTEEN: PENALTIES. <br />Persons violating this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis- <br />demeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not to <br />exceed $500.00, or by imprisonment in the City or County jail for a period <br />not exceeding 30 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Further, <br />the license shall be revoked. <br />SECTION SIXTEEN. <br />For the year 1976 only, the following procedures shall apply; <br />Applications for licenses may be made at any time up to 5:00 <br />o'clock P.M. on Friday, May 21, 1976. <br />The Department of Finance shall notify applicants of the granting <br />or rejection of such application by Wednesday, May 26, 1976. <br />PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 10th��ay of <br />May, 976. <br />ABE E.
