SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE NO. 1520 <br />An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Colton, amending the Colton <br />Municipal Code, Title 16, to rescind Chapters 16.04 through 16.28 inclusive - <br />and all ordinances or portions of ordinances pertaining thereto and adopting <br />regulations from the Government Code under Division 2, Title 7 - Subdivision. <br />ARTICLE I Authority and Citation <br />Sec. 1: The City Council of Colton hereby assumes control of the design <br />and improvement of land subdivisionsof property, as such power <br />is vested in the City by the provisions of Division 2, Title 7 <br />of the Government Code, and amendments thereto. <br />Sec. 2: This ordinance is adopted to supplement and implement` Division 2, <br />ARTICLE II <br />Sec. 1: <br />Sec. 2': <br />Title 7 of the Government Code and may be cited as the "Subdivision <br />Ordinance of Colton". <br />Conformity to General Plan and Waiver <br />A report as to the conformity to the General Plan, which is <br />required pursuant to Section 65402 of the Government Code as <br />a result,of a proposed division of land, may be included as a <br />part of and at the same time as the action taken by the advisory <br />agency on such'division of land. <br />Such report is not required for a proposed subdivision which <br />involves 1) the disposition of the remainder of a larger parcel <br />which was acquired and used in part for street purposes; <br />2) acquisitions,, dispositions or abandonments for street <br />widening; 3) alignment projects, provided that the advisory <br />agency expressly finds that any such disposition for street <br />purposes, acquisitions, dispositions, or abandonments for <br />street widening or alignment projects is of a minor nature. <br />
