I <br />ARTICLE III Definitions <br />Sec. 1: The following words and phrases shall have the meanings re- <br />spectively ascribed to them. All words and phrases herein <br />defined or used, which are contained in Division 2, Title 7 <br />of the Government Code, shall have the same meaning as ascribed <br />therein, where any conflict or ambiguity arises. <br />Sec. 2: Words and Phrases <br />A. "Advisory Agency" means a designated official or an official <br />body charged with the duty of making investigations and <br />reports on the design and improvement of .proposed divisions <br />of real property, the imposing of requirements or conditions <br />thereon, or having the authority by,local ordinance to approve, <br />conditionally approve or disapprove maps. See Article IV <br />of this ordinance. <br />B. "City Council" refers to the City Council of the City of <br />Colton. <br />C. "City Engineer" refers to the City Engineer of the City of <br />Colton. <br />D. "City Standards" means any improvement standards or design <br />standards which have been currently accepted by the City <br />of Colton, Engineering Division,, and which standards are <br />delineated, and on file for use and examination by the <br />public in the office of the Community Services Director. <br />E. "Design" means 1) street alignment, grades and widths; <br />2) drainage and sanitary facilities and utilities, including <br />alignments, grades and sizing thereof; 3) location and size <br />of all required easements and rights-of-way; 4) lot size <br />and configuration; 5) traffic access; 6) grading; 7) land <br />-2- <br />, <br />
