IORDINANCE NO. 1530 <br />2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, ADDING CHAPTER 9.30 TO <br />3 TITLE 9 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE <br />CONCERNING ALARM SYSTEMS AND TECHNICAL <br />4 AND BUSINESS REGULATIONS RELATED THERETO. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN <br />6 1AS FOLLOWS: <br />7 I There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City of Colton <br />8 Chapter 9.30, which is to read as follows: <br />9 CHAPTER 9.30 - ALARM SYSTEMS <br />3.0 Section 9.30.010. Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, <br />I <br />� <br />3.3- certain words and phrases used herein are defined as follows: <br />12 1 1. "Alarm System" shall m <br />y can any device designed for the detec- <br />lZ 11tion of an unauthorized entry on premises or for altering others of the commis - <br />3.4 ision of an unlawful act, or both, and, when actuated emits a sound or transmits <br />a signal or message. <br />16 2. "Alarm. Business" shall mean any person engaged in selling, <br />17 Eleasing, maintaining, servicing, repairing, altering, replacing, moving, install- <br />i <br />18 ling, or monitoring any alarm system or causing to be sold, maintained, serviced, <br />39 !repaired, altered, replaced, moved, installed or monitored an alarm system in or <br />j <br />20 ion any building, place or premises. <br />21 i 3. "Alarm Agent" shall mean any y person who is employed by an , <br />2 'alarm business, either directly or indirectly, whose duties include any of the <br />2.3i following: selling, replacing, moving, installing or monitoring on any building, <br />24 place or premises any alarm system. <br />25 1 4. "Audible Alarm" shall mean a device designed for the detec <br />2C <br />;tion of an unauthorized entry on premises and which when actuated generated a <br />27 !sound audible at and outside the premises. <br />2& Ii <br />
