A`permit for an alarm system, a proprietor alarm, or audible alarm, shall be issued to the person owning, using, or possessing the alarm system, proprietor alarm or audible alarm. Alarm businesses shall procure and process applications for their subscribers. ' Section 9.30.070. Bond Required for Alarm Business. Each alarm business shall furnish to the City Manager, prior to the issuance of a permit, a corporate surety bond in the principal amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000). JIThe'bond shall be.conditioned as follows: Upon the observance by the applicant, agent or permit holder of all the provisions of this chapter and of the standards, rules and regulations applicable pursuant to this chapter and other ordinances and laws; and 2. Upon the truth of.all representations made in connection with Ithe application for such permit. Section 9.30.080. Permits - Effective Periods. a. Permits for alarm businesses, alarm systems, proprietor or audible alarms shall generally be issued upon an indefinite basis until revoked, suspended, surrendered or abandoned, unless the application requests some; lesser period, provided, however, that any such permit may be issued for a lesser pre- scribed period in any 'case where the City Manager or his designee determines that it would be in the public interest so to do. b. Each alarm agent permit shall be issued effective for a one- year period only, and ';such permit must thereafter be renewed annually in order to remain effective. Section', 9,30.090. Fees. Each applicant for a permit under this chapter, and each person filing any appeal pursuant to provisions of this chapter shall pay at the time of filing the application or appeal, a processing fee or fees in an amouit or amounts as may have been established by resolution )f the City Council.
