A`permit for an alarm system, a proprietor alarm, or audible <br />alarm, shall be issued to the person owning, using, or possessing the alarm <br />system, proprietor alarm or audible alarm. Alarm businesses shall procure and <br />process applications for their subscribers. <br />' Section 9.30.070. Bond Required for Alarm Business. Each alarm <br />business shall furnish to the City Manager, prior to the issuance of a permit, a <br />corporate surety bond in the principal amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000). <br />JIThe'bond shall be.conditioned as follows: <br />Upon the observance by the applicant, agent or permit holder <br />of all the provisions of this chapter and of the standards, rules and regulations <br />applicable pursuant to this chapter and other ordinances and laws; and <br />2. Upon the truth of.all representations made in connection with <br />Ithe application for such permit. <br />Section 9.30.080. Permits - Effective Periods. <br />a. Permits for alarm businesses, alarm systems, proprietor or <br />audible alarms shall generally be issued upon an indefinite basis until revoked, <br />suspended, surrendered or abandoned, unless the application requests some; lesser <br />period, provided, however, that any such permit may be issued for a lesser pre- <br />scribed period in any 'case where the City Manager or his designee determines that <br />it would be in the public interest so to do. <br />b. Each alarm agent permit shall be issued effective for a one- <br />year period only, and ';such permit must thereafter be renewed annually in order to <br />remain effective. <br />Section', 9,30.090. Fees. Each applicant for a permit under this <br />chapter, and each person filing any appeal pursuant to provisions of this <br />chapter shall pay at the time of filing the application or appeal, a processing <br />fee or fees in an amouit or <br />amounts as may have been established by resolution <br />)f the City Council. <br />
