AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF.COLTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 548 AND 1374 AND CHAPTER 9.20 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE, PERTAINING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. BE IT ORDAINED BE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AS !.FOLLOWS: s SECTION 1. Chapter 9.20 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby Iamended to read as follows: Sections: 9.20.010 Defined. 9.20.020 Drinking or'consuming in public places prohibited. 9.20,030 Drinking or consuming in vehicles prohibited. 9.20.040 Offering or giving with intention to consume in vehicle prohibited, 9.20.050 Penalty for violation. 9.20.010. Defined. "Alcoholic beverage," when used in this chapter, meansand includes alcoholic spirits, liquor, wine, beer and every �liquid or solid containing alcoholic spirits.,.wine or beer, and which contains 1 16lone-half or one percent or more of alcohol by volume, and which is capable of !being used as a beverage, either alone or when diluted or combined with other 17 substances. 3.9 9.20.020 Drinking or consuming in public places prohibited. �It is unlawful for any person to drink or consume, or to attempt to drink or 1 consume, any alcoholic beverage while such person is in or upon any public 21 1I 22 ,street, alley, highway, or other public place; except public parks. 23 9.20.030 Drinking or consuming in vehicles prohibited. It is 24 (unlawful for any person to drink or consume, or to attempt to drink or consume, 25 ;any alcoholic beverage while such person is in or upon any vehicle, and such 26 ivehilcle is either standing or parked in or upon, or being driven or propelled 27 over, upon or along any public street, alley, highway, or other public place 28111 upon, along or over whi'ch.vehicles may be parked or driven; excepting public parks.
