If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or 9 phrase of this ordinance of said. Code is for any reason held to be invalid or 10 unconstitutional by the decision of any court of.competent jurisdiction, such 11 decision shall not affect the validity of;'the remaining portions of said Ordi'nanc -12 or Code. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Colton hereby declare that 13 they would have passed said Ordinance and Code, and each section, subsection, 14 sentence, clause and phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or 15 more other , sections, subsections, clauses or phrases be declared invalid or un- 16 constitutional. 17 SECTION 8. Ordinance No. 1479 is hereby repealed. 18 SECTION 9. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from 19 and after its approval as required by Taw. 20 SECTION 10.
