BE IT ORDAINED by the -City Council of the City of <br />Colton as follows: <br />1. A new connection charge in the amount of $600 per <br />sewer connection shall be paid by all new users of the City's <br />sanitary sewer system and treatment plant before any new <br />physical connection to such system is made, <br />2. After the effective date of this ordinance, no building <br />permit, hookup permit or other entitlement to use of the <br />City's sanitary sewer system and treatment plant shall"be <br />issued without payment to the City of the new connection charge, <br />3. After the effective date of this ordinance, it shall <br />be a misdemeanor to connect, allow connection, or assist in <br />connecting to the City's sanitary sewer system and treatment <br />plant any building or structure without payment to the City of <br />the above new connection charge. <br />4. This is an urgency ordinance, and pursuant to <br />California Government Code Section 36934 shall be passed upon <br />its introduction. This ordinance is for the immediate <br />preservation of the public health and safety. The facts <br />constituting the urgency are set forth in the first five_ <br />paragraphs hereof.
