1 SECTION 17: Section 5.02.580 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its <br />2 entirety and restated to read as follows: <br />3 "5.02.580 Dancing -- Public dance for profit. <br />For every person, firm or corporation conducting, managing or carrying on a public <br />4 dance for profit to which the public must pay an admission charge, or at which the public is allowed <br />to participate in the dancing for a specified price, the tax is fifty dollars per dance or one hundred <br />5 dollars per month in advance. This license fee is in addition to any other business license or other <br />license paid by said person, firm or corporation to the city." <br />6 <br />SECTION 18: Section 5.02.590 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its <br />7 entirety and restated to read as follows: <br />8 "5.02.590 Delivery service. <br />Every person, firm or corporation making deliveries of merchandise to business <br />9 establishments in the city and not having a fixed place of business in the city shall pay a business <br />10 license of seventy-five dollars per quarter." <br />11 SECTION 19: Section 5.02.600 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its <br />entirety and restated to read as follows: <br />12 "5.02.600 Directory compiling and publishing. <br />13 For every person, firm or corporation conducting, managing or carrying on the <br />business of compiling and publishing city, business or classified directories and publishing not to <br />14 exceed five thousand of such directories per year, the tax is one hundred fifty dollars per year." <br />15 SECTION 20: Section 5.02.610 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its <br />entirety and restated to read as follows: <br />16 <br />"5.02.610 Dog kennels. <br />17 A. Every person, firm or corporation engaged in the business of operating a <br />commercial kennel as defined in subsection B of this section shall obtain a license from the license <br />18 department of the city and shall pay an annual fee as follows: <br />1. For a kennel having the following number of dogs, the fee designated: <br />19 5 to 10 dogs $50.00 <br />11 to 20 dogs $75.00 <br />20 21 to 30 dogs $100.00 <br />2. The fee shall be further increased ten dollars for each increment of ten or <br />21 fractional part of ten dogs over thirty dogs. <br />B. A 'commercial kennel' means a place where five or more dogs are kept for the <br />22 purpose of boarding, breeding, training or marketing. <br />23 C. All dogs owned by a commercial kennel shall be subject to the provisions of this <br />chapter upon attaining the age of six months." <br />24 SECTION 21: Section 5.02.620 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its <br />25 entirety and restated to read as follows: <br />26 "5.02.620 Handbill distributors. <br />Every person not having a fixed place of business within the city and conducting the <br />27 business of advertising by the distribution of handbills, circulars, or other written or printed <br />advertising materials shall pay an annual license tax in the amount of one hundred fifty dollars." <br />28 <br />RVPUB/NGS/661186 <br />7 <br />
