Chapter 2.66 is hereby added to the Colton Municipal Code to read "Chapter 2.66 RESERVE POLICE OFFICER CORPS 2.66.010 Establishment of reserve police officer corps. 2.66.020 Appointment of members. 2.66.030 Requirements for appointment. 2.66.040 Oath of office. 2.66.050 Powers and duties. 2.66.060 Identification and uniform. 2.66.070 Volunteer status. 2.66.080 Disability payments and death benefits. 2.66.090 Removal from assignment — Resignation. Section 2.66.010 Establishment of reserve police officer corps. A reserve police officer corps (the "Reserve Corps") is hereby established to perform such duties as are described in this chapter. Section 2.66.020 Appointment of members. The Chief of Police shall appoint the members of the Reserve Corps, who are hereinafter called "Reserve Police Officer', subject to approval by the City Manager as authorized by the City Council. Applications for appointment to the position of Reserve Police Officer shall be made in writing on one or more forms provided by the City of Colton. Section 2.66.030 Requirements for appointment. Applicants for the position of Reserve Police Officer shall be required to meet the minimum standards for appointment as determined by the City of Colton Human Resources Department (the "Department") and the State of California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), and Section 832.6(a)(1) of the Penal Code.
