RESOLUTION NO. 3612 <br />2 <br />Resolution; and <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />(c) That detailed itemization of certain expenses <br />15 <br />OF COLTON FORMALIZING THE 'PROCEDURE FOR RE - <br />3 <br />ly difficult, if not impossible, by reason of the <br />IMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES TO COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />4 <br />THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY.OF COLTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />5,/ <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Colton does hereby find, <br />f <br />determine and <br />declare as follows: <br />7 <br />(a) <br />That for many years past this City has had an <br />8 <br />maintains a telephone in his home which is utilized <br />informal policy with -respect to the reimbursement <br />9 <br />25 <br />of Council Members for expenses incurred by them <br />10 <br />receivingcalls pertaining to official functions <br />in the performance of official duties; and <br />s <br />11 <br />(b) <br />That it is desirable, 'and in the public interest, <br />12 <br />to complaints and inquiries concerning matters <br />to formalize that said policy by means of this <br />13 <br />related to legislative' business; each member of the <br />Resolution; and <br />14 <br />(c) That detailed itemization of certain expenses <br />15 <br />incurred by members of the City Council is extreme - <br />16 <br />ly difficult, if not impossible, by reason of the <br />17 <br />nature of certain such expenses, for example, each <br />18 <br />member of the City Council maintains in his home <br />19 <br />an area utilized by him for office facilities, <br />20 <br />including, but not limited to, the storage of City <br />21 <br />records accumulated by him in his capacity as a <br />22 <br />member of the legislative body; each such member <br />23 <br />maintains a telephone in his home which is utilized <br />24 <br />in part, by the Council member in making and <br />25 <br />receivingcalls pertaining to official functions <br />26 <br />as well as receiving calls from constituents relating <br />27 <br />to complaints and inquiries concerning matters <br />28 <br />related to legislative' business; each member of the <br />29 <br />Council utilizes, from time to time, a personal <br />30 <br />automobile for official business, in attending' <br />31 <br />various meetings and reviewing areas of the City <br />32 <br />where his official duty so requires, and other <br />
