The City desires to revise the currently existing Personnel System <br />rules, ordinances and/or regulations pursuant to Section 3500 et seq. of <br />the California Government Code. <br />8. That the City of Colton shall modify its vacation benefit such that <br />employees in this unit who have completed five (5) years continuous service <br />shall receive three (3) weeks vacation time; that is, 120 hours per year <br />accrued at 10 hours per month. <br />9. That overtime shall be recorded and paid in minimum increments of <br />thirty (30) minutes. <br />10. That compensatory time off at straight time in lieu of paid overtime <br />shall be granted on request of employee if approved by the department head. <br />Compensatory time to be taken in minimum one (1) hour increments, maximum <br />accrual is 16 hours, and must be taken in same fiscal year as earned. <br />11. That employees be given a minimum of two (2) weeks advance notice of <br />a shift change, except in case of emergency. Department heads shall consider <br />the needs of the service and the employee in making assignments. <br />12. That the City of Colton shall amend Resolution No. 2996 to provide <br />for majority representation and eliminate "informal" recognition of employee <br />orangizations: <br />13. That the City of Colton shall study 4 X 10 plan. <br />14. That the Tuition Reimbursement Program be discontinued effective the <br />first day of July, 1977, <br />15. That an election be held on dropping of Social Security coverage. <br />16. All other terms and conditions of employment, not expressly addressed, <br />of all employees represented by the Association in existence immediately prior <br />to the effective date of this Memorandum of Understanding shall remain unchange <br />
