ii <br />2 <br />1 <br />3� <br />41 <br />6� <br />71i <br />81 <br />1 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />121 <br />F <br />131 <br />141 <br />15 <br />16 <br />1 <br />17 <br />18' <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3757 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING TERMINATION OF <br />►HE SOCIAL SECURITY (OLD -AGE, SURVIVORS, <br />DISABILITY, AND HEALTH INSURANCE) AGREE- <br />MENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF COLTON AND THE <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton, hereinafter referred to as "Public <br />Agency", and the State of California entered into an agreement on December 31, <br />1959, providing for the inclusion of the services of eligible employees of the <br />Public Agency in the California State Social Security Agreement of March 9, <br />1951, pursuant to the provisions of Section 218 of the Social Security Act; and <br />WHEREAS, coverage of such services under the said agreement be- <br />tween the Public Agency and the State of California has been in effect for not <br />less than five years from the effective date of coverage specified in said <br />agreement, as required by law for termination of coverage; and <br />WHEREAS, it is understood that if the said agreement between the <br />Public Agency and the State of California, and the California State Social <br />i <br />{ <br />Security Agreement with respect to the Public Agency, are terminated, the Public <br />Agency may not again enter into an agreement with the State to provide for in- <br />clusion of the services of its employees in the California State Social Security <br />Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, although it is not required by the City's Social Secur- <br />ity Agreement, a secret ballot election will be held in which all full-time, <br />permanent employees will be given the opportunity to vote regarding termination <br />of this agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council agrees to be bound by the results of <br />�! that election; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT !?ESOLVED that: <br />3 <br />1. The City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the <br />Public Agency to terminate said agreement with respect to all <br />coverage groups thereof. <br />
