That the City Council of the City of Colton agrees and <br />desires to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Colton for the <br />following reasons: The territory is continguous to the Cit of Colton, and its <br />proposed annexation will contributed to and facilitate the orderly growth and <br />development of both the City and the territory <br />proposed to be annexed; will <br />facilitate and contribute to the proper and orderly layout, design and con- <br />struction of streets, gutters, sidewalks; sanitary and storm water sewers and <br />drainage facilities, both within the City and within the territory proposed to <br />be annexed; and will provide and facilitate proper overall planning and zoning <br />.of lands, and subdivision of lands in said City and said uninhabited territory <br />in a manner most conducive to the welfare of said City and said uninhabited <br />e territory. <br />:,3 j, 3. That the City of Colton has planned and made projections <br />14 of all City services to .include this proposed annexation as said annexation <br />1.5 is a portion of an area that is surrounded by the City of Colton. <br />i <br />1�4. That the following is an enumeration, description, level and <br />171 range of services that will be provided and any improvements that will have to <br />I <br />1g be provided when the services will.commence and the financing and any condition <br />E <br />19 I imposed by the City: <br />20 1 4.1. Safety Service Police - The City presently has six police <br />21 ` units on patrol 24 hours a day. Detectives are on duly from 8:00 a.m. to <br />22 j5:00 p.m. and animal control is provided from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Since this <br />23 area is contiguous to the City limits and is in the _vicinity of La Cadena Drive <br />24 Ian exiting patrol beat service would be provided immediately on approval of <br />z5 1said annexation. The only cost for this service would be property taxes to <br />26 I the City. <br />;i <br />27 4.2. Safety Service Fire= Fire protection services within the <br />281City are presently rated at Class 3 by the insurance services office. The City <br />�i <br />
