.a <br />AGREEMENT <br />THIS AQ.IT is made and entered into this 8th day <br />Of March_ _ , 1978, by and between the CITY OF RIALTO, a municipal <br />corporation, hereinafter referred to as "Rialto", and the CITY OF COLTON, <br />a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "Colton". <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WMREAS, the parties to the Agreement provide fire protection <br />and rescue services within their respective territorial limits; and <br />WHEREAS, certain areas of Rialto and Colton are immediately <br />adjacent to each other; and <br />WHEREAS, it is mutually advantageous to both Rialto and Colton <br />to jointly respond to fires in'these areas; and <br />WHEREAS, this joint response is authorized by California State <br />Goverment: Code Sections 5001 and 55632, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed by and between each and <br />all of the parties hereto, as follows: <br />1. A joint response zone shall be established as enccmpassed <br />by the red line on the map marked Exhibit "A" and attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference. <br />Both Rialto and: Colton are signatories of "The California <br />Disaster and Civil Defense Master Mutual Aid Agreement", as well as an East <br />San Bernardino Valley Mutual Aid Agreement, effective June 12, 1972. Nothing <br />in this present -contract should be construed to detract from or otherwise <br />interfere with these previous agreements in any way., <br />2. The Fire Chief of the. Rialto City Fire Department and the <br />EXHIBIT "I" <br />1 -W <br />
