Fire Chief of the Colton City Fire Department be, and they are hereby, <br />directed to develop a running card sYstEm for response to fires in this <br />joint response zone. Within this zone Rialto shall retain prime responsibility <br />and authority for fires within the corporate boundaries of Rialto and Colton <br />shall retain prime responsibility and authority for fires within the <br />corporate boundaries of Colton. <br />3. The Fire Chief of the Rialto City Fire Department is hereby <br />directed to order response pursuant to said running card system to help <br />control fires in the Colton portion of the joint response zone. The Rialto <br />City Fire Companies shall function under the operational direction of the <br />senior officer of the Colton Fire Department present at the scene in such <br />areas. <br />4. The Fire Chief of Colton is hereby directed to order response <br />pursuant to said running card system to help control fires in the Rialto <br />Portion of the joint response zone. The Colton Fire Companies shall <br />function under the operational direction of the senior officer of the <br />Rialto City Fire Department present at the scene. <br />5. Rialto, through its Fire Department Fire Chief, and Colton, <br />through its Fire Chief, may alter the boundary lines of said joint response <br />zone or running assignments as conditions change. No modification of this <br />Agreement shall be required when changes in the boundary lines are made; <br />however„ a map shall be attached to this Agreement showing the revised <br />boundary lines and signed by the officers authorized by this Agreement <br />to approve; such changes. <br />-2- <br />
