6. San Bernardino shall conduct al] fire investigations <br />and have responsibility for fire prevention in the San Bernardino portion <br />of the joint.response zone, and Colton shall conduct all fire investigations <br />and have responsibility for fire prevention in the Colton portion of the <br />zone. <br />7. No party to this Agreement shall be required to pay any <br />compensation to the other party to this Agreement for ordinary services <br />rendered hereunder; the mutual advantage and protection afforded by this <br />Agreement being considered adequate compensation to all parties <br />8. San Bernardino agrees to indemnify and hold harmless -Colton <br />and its agents and employees frcaa and against all claims, damages, losses <br />and expenses arising out of performance by San Bernardino of the work <br />herein detailed where such damages, losses and expenses are caused in <br />whole or in part by San Bernardino's negligent act or omission, or that <br />of .its agents and employees or that of anyone employed by them or for <br />whose acts San Bernardino may be liable. <br />9. Colton agrees to indemnify and hold harmless San Bernardino <br />and its agents and employees fran and against all claims, damages, losses <br />and expenses arising out of performance by Colton of the work herein <br />detailed where such damages, losses, and expenses are caused, in whole <br />or in part by Colton's negligent act or cmissions, or that of its agents <br />and employees or that of anyone employed by them or for whoses acts the <br />Authority may be liable. <br />10..
