Department and the Fire Chief of the Colton City Fire Department be, <br />and they are hereby, directed to develop a running card system for response <br />to fires in this joint response zone. Within this zone San Bernardino shall <br />retain prime responsibility and authority for fires within. the corporate <br />boundaries of San Bernardino, and Colton shall retain prime responsibility <br />and authority for fires within the corporate boundaries of Colton, <br />3 The Chief Engineer of the San Bernardino City Fire <br />Department is hereby directed to order response pursuant to said running <br />card system to help control fires in the Colton portion of the joint <br />response zone. The San: Bernardino City Fire Cres shall function under <br />the operational direction of the senior officer of the Colton Fire Department <br />present at the scene in such areas <br />4. 9be Fire Chief of Colton is hereby directed to order response <br />pursuant to said. running card system to help control fires in the San <br />Bernardino portion of the joint response zone. The Colton Fire Campani.es <br />shall function under the operational.di.rection of the senior officer of <br />the San Bernardino City Department present at the scene. <br />5. San Bernardino, through its Fire Department Chief Engineer, <br />and Colton, through its Fire Chief, may alter the boundary lines of said <br />joint response zone or running assignments as conditions change. No <br />modification of this Agreement shall be required when changes in the <br />boundary lines are made; however, a map shall be attached to this Agreement <br />shaging the revised boundary lines and signed: by the officers authorized by <br />this Agreement to approve such changes. <br />--2-- <br />
