2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />7 <br />9. <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />3-Z <br />3.4 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20, <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Colton as follows: <br />That the City of Colton urges that all necessary steps be taken <br />to approve, construct and commence operation of the Sundesert Nuclear Project as <br />originally proposed in the Notice of Intent at the earliest possible date. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Colton urges that the <br />State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission and, the Legisla- <br />ture respectively recommend and enact an exemption for the Sundesert Nuclear <br />Project, as originally proposed in the Notice of Intent, from the current mora- <br />torium on the construction of new nuclear power plants which resulted from the <br />1976 passage.of the "nuclear bills" pursuant to the exemption mechanism provided <br />by the Legislature in Assembly Bill 1852. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that.upon adoption of this resolution by <br />the City Council of the City of Colton, the City Clerk be directed to forward a <br />copy of this resolution to the Office of the Governor of the State of California <br />the Speaker of.the Assembly, the President of the Senate, all members of the San <br />Bernardino and Riverside County delegations of the State of California Legisla- <br />ture, and to all cities and counties which will be provided electric power from <br />the Sundesert Nuclear Project. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of April, 1978. <br />FRANK A.
