SEQ, REPRESENTATIVES <br />11OF THE CITY OF COLTON AND THE COLTON POLICE ASSOCIATION HAVE MET AND HAVE <br />BREACHED AN UNDERSTANDING TO RECOMMEND THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT THE FOLLOWING: <br />1. PAYMENT OF ONE-HALF P.E.R.S. RETIREMENT <br />.The City of Colton does hereby agree to pay one-half of the employees' <br />portion of PERS retirement for all sworn officers, dispatchers and animal <br />control. The City shall make a timely application to PERS and said benefit <br />shall begin upon approval by PERS. <br />A perquisite equal to one-half of the above employeesportion of PERS <br />retirement shall be paid to such employees retroactively from July 1, 1978 - <br />until commencement of the above retirement payment. <br />2. VACATION ACCRUAL <br />The City of Colton does agree to change vacation accrual to conform to <br />that of the accrual rate of miscellaneous employees of the City of Colton <br />as per.Attachment "A" , effective July 1, 1978. <br />3. STAND BY TIME (DETECTIVES) <br />Stand-by time is defined as from the end of the work day on Friday to <br />the end of the work day the following Friday, a period not to exceed <br />seven days. <br />The City of Colton does hereby agree to place into effect on January 1 <br />1979 a stand-by policy for detectives in the police department as follows: <br />For each week (7 days) of stand-by time.the assigned detective shall <br />accrue eight hours of holiday time. Said time shall be taken at vacation <br />time in conjunction with a scheduled vacation or during the year at the <br />discretion of the department head. <br />No detective shall lose any such accrued stand-by holiday time, if.because <br />
