17 <br />l <br />19' <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3867 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF <br />CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED <br />COLTON ANNEXATION SOUTH 35" TO THE CITY <br />OF COLTON AND WITHDRAWING SAID ANNEXED <br />AREA FROM COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 38 AND <br />IMPROVEMENT ZONE G'OF COUNTY SERVICE AREA <br />NO. 38, AND COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 70 <br />AND IMPROVEMENT ZONE A OF COUNTY SERVICE <br />AREA NO. 70. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY -COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON: <br />WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of October, 1978, the Council of the City l <br />of`Colton did pass and adopt Resolution No. 3862 giving notice of the proposal <br />Ito annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Colton, said territory <br />lbeing therein designated as "Colton Annexation South 35 said Resolution'des- <br />cribing theboundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 3862 did contain a notice of the day', <br />hour and place, when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made <br />1by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, <br />Ithe time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from 1, <br />the day of passage of said Resolution; (G. C. Section 35000, et. seq.) and <br />WHEREAS, on the 7th day of November, 1978, at the hour of 7:30 <br />ip. m., in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center located at 650 North La Cadena <br />Drive in the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, State of California, said <br />!time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 3862 <br />for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and <br />I,pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that <br />protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the private- <br />ly owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized and <br />assessment roll, norbypublic owners of one-half of the value of the publicly <br />owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; <br />and <br />
