ill <br />F <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />;I <br />171 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 3500, ET, SEQ, REPRESENTATIVES <br />OF THE CITY OF COLTON AND SAN BERNARDINO PUBLIC EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION <br />REPRESENTING THE GENERAL EMPLOYEES UNIT HAVE MET AND HAVE REACHED AN UNDER- <br />STANDING TO RECOMMEND THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT THE FOLLOWING: <br />1. SALARY INCREASE <br />Effective January 1, 1983, provision to each represented employee of a <br />five percent (5%) base salary increase. Such increases will apply to <br />each step within a pay range. <br />2. HEALTH INSURANCE <br />Effective January 11 1983, the City shall provide to each represented <br />employee a sum equal to one -hundred percent (100%) of the premiums <br />applicable to the HEALTH NET medical insurance program, Group Number <br />50766A, for the provision of "FAMILY" coverage. "FAMILY" coverage is <br />that coverage which exists for the employee and two or more dependents. <br />At the commencement date of this MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING, such <br />FAMILY" coverage is equal to $189.34 <br />During the entire term of this MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING, the City <br />shall pay all HEALTH NET premium increases as regards "FAMILY" coverage, <br />resulting in the City continuing to pay one -hundred percent (100%) HEALTH <br />NET, a City -paid premium equal to the value of one -hundred percent (100%) <br />City -paid HEALTH NET premiums for "FAHILY" coverage. In those cases <br />where the dollar value of one -hundred percent (100%) City -paid premiums <br />for HEALTH NET "FAMILY" coverage exceeds the cost of insuring a represented <br />employee and/or his dependents, the difference between said dollar amounts <br />shall be, at the request of the individual employee, deposited in a <br />deferred compensation program on behalf of the employee, or be, provided <br />in the form of a bi-weekly cash disbursement. <br />
