Extension Charges: <br />An applicant for a main extension shall pay to the <br />City a charge which is double the frontage charge shown for the <br />zone and type of development involved. Payment of this extension <br />charge shall be made upon application to the City for such exten- <br />sion. <br />SECTION 8. Acreage Charge: <br />The City of Colton shall assess an acreage <br />charge for every property making application for water service. <br />It shall be the policy of the City that such acreage charge shall <br />made for each new dwelling unit which is constructed on property <br />within a residential zone as established by officially adopted <br />zoning maps for the City of Colton. The acreage charge for manu- <br />facturing and commercial zones as established by said maps, shall <br />be assessed for the entire parcel at such time as water applica- <br />tion is made; this acreage charge shall be waived only if the ap- <br />plicant or his predecessors in interest of said property have paid <br />the same. The acreage charge shall be made according to the estab- <br />lished Zoning District Classification Maps, regardless of the in- <br />dividual addition or construction for which water service is ap- <br />plied.
