DENTAL INSURANCE <br />Effective January 1, 1984, the City will provide dental <br />insurance for each represented employee and eligible : <br />dependents in accordance with the existing City dental plans. <br />7. ADDITIONAL HOLIDAY <br />Effective January 1, 1984, each represented employee will <br />receive an additional holiday, Martin Luther King Day, to be <br />recognized on the third Monday in January. During calendar <br />year 1984 only, this holiday will be a floating holiday. <br />8_ EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVE <br />Effective January 1, 1984, each represented employee will <br />be provided a maximum of five -hundred dollars ($500.00) <br />tuition and books reimbursement in accordance with City <br />Administrative Policy IV -C-29. <br />9- CLASSIFICATION STUDY SIDE LETTER <br />The City will within 60 days of ratification by Council of <br />this agreement, provide a side letter to representatives of <br />this unit relating to classification studies as discussed <br />during meet and confer process. <br />1-0. RECOGNITION BAR <br />It is understood that this Memorandum of Understanding shall <br />constitute a bar to any petition or request for recognition <br />in any unit which includes classifications of employees <br />covered by this Memorandum of Understanding where such <br />petition or request seeks to represent such employees at any <br />time prior to the expiration date of this Memorandum of <br />Understanding; provided however, this provision shall not bar <br />a petition or motion for modification of the unit of <br />representation currently represented by Association. <br />-2- <br />
