Section 9. The Clerk shall give' notice of the hearing as follows: (a) The Clerk shall cause this resolution of intention to be published once a week for two (2) successive weeks as required by §22626 and §22552 of the California Streets & Highways Code. The Colton Courier is hereby desig- nated as the newspaper in which the Clerk shall. publish this resolution of intention. Upon completion of giving notice, the Clerk is further directed to file in her office a proof of publication setting forth compliance with the requirements for publishing. (b) At least twenty (20) days before the date set for hearing of protests, the Clerk shall mail, postage prepaid, a copy of this resolution of intention to all persons owning real property proposed to be assessed whose names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll for taxes of the County of Riverside or who are known to the City Clerk.
