RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION WEST 34. 2 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of .3 1977, commencing with Section 35000 of the Government Code, the 4 Council of the City of Colton on June 11, 1984, adopted its reso- 5 lution application number W-34 to the Local Agency Formation 6 Commission, making a proposal for a annexation; and 7 WHEREAS, on May 9, 1984, the Local Agency Formation Commis - 8 sion by Resolution No. 1919 (attached hereto as Exhibit 1), approv d 9 the proposed annexation and authorized. the Council of the City o 10 Colton to initiate and -conduct proceedings for the proposed annex - 11 ation in compliance with Resolution No. 1919 and pursuant to Govern - 12 ment Code Section 35000, et seq.; 13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the 14 City of Colton, California as follows: 15 I. That the above recitations are true and correct. 16 2. That the City Council hereby adopts this resolution 17 initiating proceedings for the proposed annexation as provided in 18 _ Government Code Section 35220 as follows: 19 a. The name of the areas for which any change of organi- 20 zation is proposed is entitled Annexation West 34. The annexation 21 consists of approximately 18 acres of inhabited territory which is 22 currently part of an unincoporated area of the County of San 23 Bernardino and which is an island within. the City of Colton 24 boundary. 25 b. The particular changes of organization proposed for the 26 subject area is the annexation of approximately 18 acres of uninco.- 27 28
