2 <br />(e)"Department" means the electric utility department of the City of <br />Colton. <br />� <br />(f) "Firm Energy" means electrical energy delivered to the Department for <br />purchase pursuant to an agreement between' the Department and Qualifying <br />Facility specifying, along with other terms and conditions, (i) the term <br />of the agreement and (ii) the minimum amounts of energy that will be made <br />available during each Rating Period to the Department by the Qualifying <br />Facility. <br />(g) "Interconnection" means the physical connection of the transmission <br />a <br />or -distribution facilities ;of the Department with the electricalsystem <br />of an entity generating or transmitting electricity for the sale, pur- <br />e � <br />chase and sale, or wheeling of electricity from a Qualifying Facility. <br />( <br />(h) "Interconnection Facilities" . means those protection, metering, elec- <br />trical conductor(s), and other facilities required < by the Department to <br />permit a safe, reliable, and economical Interconnection between the De- <br />partment's electrical system and the Qualifying Facility. <br />(i) "Interruptible Power" means electricity that is supplied to a Qualify- <br />�a <br />ing Facility by the Department and is subject to interruption under speci- <br />peerfied <br />fiedconditions (from FERC rules, 18 CFR Part 292.101). <br />(j) Maintenance Power means electricity that is supplied to a Qualify - <br />3 <br />ing Facility by the Department during scheduled outages of electrical <br />generation by the Qualifying Facility (from FERC rules, '18 CFR Part <br />a <br />292.101). <br />(k) "Non-firm Energy" means electrical energy delivered by a Qualifying <br />Facility to the Department for purchase by the City if, when, and in such <br />r <br />quantities as deemed available by the Qualifying Facility. <br />
