<br />All appropriate WCC and the NAICS applicable in the construction of the FFY 2003-2004 proposed CIP
<br />projects were noted. The work was broken into three (3) general categories to identify the type of work
<br />and subcontracting opportunities available in each DOT assisted contract:
<br />Streets & Highways (NAICS = 23411 & 23412)
<br />Including, but not limited to, asphalt, fencing, guard railings & barriers, pavement markers,
<br />construction staking, reset/adjust roadway items, plane asphalt concrete, clearing & grubbing,
<br />highway planting, erosion control, irrigation system, aggregate base, seal coat, asphalt concrete,
<br />paving asphalt, pavement reinforcing fabric, AC dike & misc., recycle/reclaim AC, clean & seal
<br />pavement joints and rout & seal cracks, roadside sign, survey or historical monument,
<br />thermoplastic traffic stripe & marking, painted traffic stripe & marking, pavement marking, water
<br />meter & temp facilities, and construction equipment rental.
<br />2. Concrete Construction (NAICS = 23571)
<br />Including, but not limited to, concrete & cement, Portland Cement & concrete pavement,
<br />prestressing concrete cast -in-place, concrete structure, minor concrete structure, concrete
<br />surface finish, concrete block & masonry retaining wall, cast -in place concrete pipe, and concrete
<br />curb & sidewalk misc.
<br />3. Excavation & Grading (NAICS = 23593)
<br />Including, but not limited to, sand & gravel, dust palliative, roadway excavation, grading, structure
<br />excavation, shaped bedding, structure backfill, ditches excavation, embankment construction,
<br />imported borrow, and rock slope protection.
