1 RESOLUTION NO. R-106-03 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON APPROVING A COMMUNITY SPORTS FACILITY <br />3 ADVERTISING SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM FOR THE KEN HUBBS <br />LITTLE LEAGUE SPORTS FACILITY AT MAX J. LOFY PARK <br />4 <br />5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to encourage the placement <br />6 of advertising in City parks and community sports facilities in accordance with a community sports <br />7 facility sponsorship program in order to provide a financial mechanism to support community sports <br />8 activities and encourage civic pride; and <br />9 WHEREAS, community sports facility sponsorship programs are authorized by <br />10 Section 12.24.141 and Chapter 18.50 of the Colton Municipal Code; and <br />11 WHEREAS, approval of a community sports facility sponsorship program at the Ken <br />12 Hubbs Little League Sports Facility is appropriate and is not contrary to the health, safety and <br />13 welfare of the residents of the City of Colton or properties surrounding the Ken Hubbs Little League <br />14 Sports Facility at Max J. Lofy Park. <br />15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />16 COLTON: <br />SECTION 1, The City Council of the City of Colton hereby approves the community <br />17 sports facility sponsorship program advertising signs described on the attached Exhibit "A" for the <br />18 Ken Hubbs Little League Sports Facility at Max J. Lofy Park located at the corner of 10th Street and <br />19 E Street. <br />20 SECTION 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon the <br />21 effective date of Ordinance No. 0-22-03. <br />22 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of October, 2003. <br />23 <br />24 DEIRDRE H.
