Vernon Avenue to easterly Colton City Limits <br />Colton, CA 92324 <br />OWNER: Public Right -of -Way within Colton City Limits <br />THE UNDERSIGNED hereby applies for a TEMPORARY ENCROACHMENT PERMIT to <br />place six (6) Construction Area Signs within the City of Colton public right-of-way along either <br />side of Fairway Drive beginning easterly of Mt. Vernon Avenue and continuing to the easterly city <br />limits of Colton at the intersection of Auto Plaza Drive and Fairway Drive. The signs will be <br />placed in Colton, but the construction project is outside the easterly city limits of Colton. <br />THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES have been presented to the City of Colton during the <br />Encroachment Permit Application process: <br />1. Request is for eighteen (18) months, beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2004 and extending <br />to Wednesday, July 6, 2005. This Permit is hereby effective for the above -noted dates. <br />2. An extension of time may be requested, in writing, from the Engineering Department a <br />minimum of one (1) week prior to the expiration of this Permit. <br />3. Signs shall be constructed per the specifications and details as submitted to the City of <br />Colton on the Traffic Handling Plan and Construction Area Signs — Sheet TH-1 <br />4. There will be six (6) signs installed within the area noted above. As not all signs will be in <br />effect throughout the entire construction process, those signs not needed for public <br />notification or public safety will be covered when not in use. <br />5. Installation & maintenance of said Construction Area Signs (including replacement of any <br />damaged materials) shall be the sole & complete responsibility of the contractor to whom the <br />construction contract for the CALTRANS Project is awarded. <br />1 <br />
